I am a board certified registered nurse with professional and community leadership experience, and I'm running for Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors to bring new, innovative leadership to our local government. I recently graduated from the 2025 cohort of the Highlands Ranch Citizen’s Academy that was hosted by the Metro District and gained an even greater appreciation for our community and citizens.

I began my career in public service as a registered nurse. The most impactful moment of my career was being selected to serve on the medical team for Honor Flight Chicago, where I was able to accompany World War II and Korean veterans on a day trip to DC to see their memorials and spend the day honoring them and their service. My own grandfather, who was a World War II veteran, went on this trip and I saw how deeply it moved him. One month after his passing, I went on my first Honor Flight.

As my career as a nurse progressed, I moved into a leadership role at Swedish Medical Center's Level One Emergency Department where I worked as a clinical nurse coordinator and trauma liaison with responsibilities including attending monthly trauma operations committee meeting, leading PI projects to improve door to operating room times for trauma patients, facilitating and leading bimonthly trauma team meetings and publishing a bimonthly trauma newsletter. This role allowed me to improve patient experience through patient rounding and participate in monthly leadership meetings to collaborate on departmental goals. Currently, I work as a pre op/PACU RN in Highlands Ranch.

In addition to volunteering at various community organizations, I am the Coordinating Director for Native Women's Wilderness. In this role I have been responsible for community outreach including our “Give Back” campaign through which we have been able to help Indigenous communities in Denver, South Dakota and Arizona by providing necessary supplies and winter clothing to a children’s home and domestic violence shelter. Our organization was also able to provide food and hygiene boxes to distribute throughout Navajo Nation during the COVID-19 pandemic during which the Navajo Nation was one of the most impacted communities in the US.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, Brian, and our two daughters. We moved to Highlands Ranch in 2018 as I was expecting our first baby. We knew we wanted to raise our kids in this family focused community and have enjoyed watching them grow up here.
